Thousands of casualties, refugees: This is not Ukraine; this is Artsakh, which the world ignored, says French journalist

This night again, 110,000 Armenian men, women, and children in Artsakh slept in the cold, as Azerbaijanis refuse to repair or allow the repair of the gas pipeline they damaged near Shushi. This was reported by French journalist Christophe Bussière on his Twitter account.

“Last night, after shelling the fields around the Khramort region of Artsakh several times, Azerbaijani forces this morning shot and wounded a peaceful civilian working in the garden. Who will condemn these repeatedly occurring attacks?” wrote the French journalist.

He has dedicated his recent posts on Twitter to Artsakh and its Armenian population. He expresses astonishment at the international community's silence during the 44-day Artsakh War and the events that followed, while everyone seems to be concerned and providing assistance in the case of Ukraine.

In another post, he wrote: “The president in military uniform, who stayed with his people to defend his country, tens of thousands of women and children who became refugees, thousands of casualties. But this is not Ukraine; this was Artsakh in 2020. Back then, very few journalists were interested, and the entire world generally ignored it.”
