When Will Moscow Attack the Capital of Ukraine? A Timeframe is Specified
As a result of Russia's unexpectedly chaotic assault towards Kyiv, thousands of soldiers and hundreds of vehicles have remained stranded on the northwestern roads for several days. However, some military analysts believe that Moscow is gradually overcoming its logistical challenges and may launch an attack towards the Ukrainian capital in the coming days. This was reported by The Guardian.
The Institute for the Study of War based in Washington has concluded that Russian forces are now "focused on the eastern, northwestern, and western suburbs of Kyiv," preparing for an "assault on the capital within the next 24-96 hours." The success of this assault, the analytical center emphasized, will partially depend on how effectively Russian troops can "recharge, reorganize, and plan" following the initial invasion, which experts believe failed due to several shortcomings.
It is worth recalling that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation for the demilitarization of Ukraine. In a televised address, he stated that the circumstances "require us to take decisive and immediate action, as the people's republics of Donbas have requested assistance from Russia." According to the Russian leader, the entire responsibility for the bloodshed will rest on the conscience of the ruling regime in Ukraine. He urged Ukrainian military personnel not to follow the criminal orders of the Ukrainian authorities, to lay down their arms, and go home.
