Former Georgian Defense Minister Travels to Ukraine to Join War, Ukrainian Media Reports
Former Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili (2004–2006) has traveled to Ukraine to participate in the ongoing military operations against Russia. Ukrainian media reports this, publishing a photo of Okruashvili in military uniform.
According to the same sources, Okruashvili has joined a 'battalion' there.
It is worth noting that, according to Ukrainian and Russian media, several battalions composed of citizens of Georgia, mainly consisting of former military personnel, are currently participating in combat operations against the Russian army on behalf of Ukraine.
