I Also Collect Cigarette Remnants in My Pockets: Deputy Head of Avan on Incident

The Deputy Head of the Avan administrative district, Nerses Poghosyan, clarified in an interview with Aravot.am how a pipette was discovered in his pocket by the police days ago.

Earlier, Shamshyan.com reported that officers from the Erebuni police department detained Nerses Poghosyan and another citizen on suspicion of possessing drugs during enhanced service on Tigran Mets Avenue.

We asked Nerses Poghosyan why he was carrying a pipette. He responded, "I do not keep a pipette; let's at least phrase the question this way: why was the pipette with me at that moment or how did it end up with me? It would be more accurate that way. On the first day of the incident, I picked it up from the ground while walking, and frequently, when I see similar things while strolling through the city streets, I pick them up and throw them in the trash so that they do not end up in the hands of young people and minors. This time I picked it up and forgot to throw it away. It often happens that I also collect cigarette remnants in my pockets. When I smoke and there is no trash bin around, I do not throw the remnants on the ground because elderly people, grandmothers and grandfathers, clean that street, and they are paid from the budget. Finding a pipette with me does not mean I am possessing drugs. The pipette was empty but used," said the Deputy Head of the Avan administrative district.
