Biden Calls Alternative to Sanctions Against Russia the Start of World War III

US President Joe Biden has stated that the alternative to the imposition of extensive Western sanctions against Russia in relation to the events in Ukraine would be the start of World War III. This is reported by RT.

“You have two options: start World War III and physically fight Russia, or ensure that a country that so brutally violates international law pays the price for it,” Biden said.

According to him, the events in Ukraine will have consequences for Russia “not only in the near term but also in the distant future.”

Earlier, Deputy National Security Adviser for the US, Duleep Singh, stated that US authorities expect a weakening of the ruble and a decrease in its purchasing power as a result of the imposed sanctions.

Joe Biden also noted that the new sanctions against Russia will have more consequences than disconnecting from the SWIFT system.
