Russia and Azerbaijan to Deepen Military Cooperation

It has already been reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have signed a declaration of allied cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan.

The declaration signed by the two countries states that Russia and Azerbaijan intend to deepen military cooperation.

The cooperation between the Russian and Azerbaijani armed forces will include the conduct of joint operational and combat training activities, as well as the development of other directions of bilateral military cooperation.

The declaration provides for cooperation in the areas of modern armament and military technology supply, along with other directions in this field.

Aliyev stated that the declaration of allied cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan opens up tremendous prospects for the future. According to him, it will have a positive significance for the security of both Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as for regional security.

As previously reported, today in the Kremlin, Putin and Aliyev held a meeting and a private conversation regarding the signing of the declaration and its importance for both countries.
