Armenia Begins Evacuation of Citizens Wishing to Leave Ukraine
Armenia has commenced the evacuation of citizens wishing to leave Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports that the Republic is prepared to accept our compatriots and their family members, as well as other refugees.
"We announce that for citizens of the Republic of Armenia intending to return to Armenia in light of the events unfolding in Ukraine, crossing the borders of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova will not require a visa from these countries (a Schengen visa is not required for the aforementioned Schengen countries). Other options for their evacuation from Ukraine are also being considered," the ministry stated. It also informed that the Republic of Armenia is ready to accept our compatriots and their family members, as well as other refugees.
As previously reported, the Armenian embassy in Kyiv, the consulate general in Odessa, and the consulate general in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, continue to operate with their full staff," noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, providing also contact numbers.
