London Ready to Host Champions League Final Instead of St. Petersburg

London's Mayor Sadiq Khan has announced that the city is prepared to host the Champions League final of the 2021/2022 season if UEFA decides to relocate the match from St. Petersburg. The decisive match is scheduled to take place on May 28 at Gazprom Arena.

“London is ready to host the Champions League final. Holding the Champions League final is a privilege,” he stated.

Earlier, several British media outlets reported that Russia may be stripped of its rights to host the Champions League final. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has stated that holding football tournaments in Russia is not possible.
