Details About the Family of Five Who Died in a Tragic Car Accident While Heading for Khash
Yesterday, as a result of a tragic accident on the Abovyan-Arzni highway, four out of the five deceased individuals were members of the same family, while the fifth was a close relative. The victims and the only survivor, the family's 15-year-old daughter, were in the same vehicle, a "VAZ-21 06" model. The girl is currently in a coma in the intensive care unit, connected to a ventilator.
Residents from Charentsavan told "Haykakan Zhamanak" that the Petrosyan family was invited to a home in Abovyan by a relative for a meal of khash: "One of the bride's relatives had invited them, and they went to eat khash. Besides family members, the bride's sister—a 33-34-year-old woman—was also in the car and died on the spot."
According to our interlocutor, the Petrosyans were a modest, respected family living in a house inherited from their ancestors. They had an average income; the bride worked as a saleswoman in one of Charentsavan’s shops, while her husband filmed weddings and ceremonies. "They were receiving benefits. If I’m not mistaken, the assistance was for their surviving daughter who is hospitalized; the child has a disability."
The family's father, who was the driver of the "VAZ-21 06," was 46 years old, his wife was 40, their son was 17, and their grandmother was 63. They all lived in Charentsavan. The bride's sister, who was 34, resided in Byureghavan.
