Will the Azerbaijani Delegation Come to Armenia? Karapetyan Does Not Deny
According to the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', on February 21 and 22, the political issues, human rights, and democracy, as well as energy security committees of 'Euronest' will hold sessions in Yerevan. The sessions of the European body are expected to take place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan.
We attempted to inquire from the head of the Armenian delegation of 'Euronest', Maria Karapetyan, whether the Azerbaijani delegation will come to Yerevan. She indicated that it is not clear at this moment if they will come, but the likelihood is high.
Regarding information from 'Zhoghovurd' that the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations will have separate lunches or dinners, Karapetyan sharply responded, "There is no such thing." It should be noted that, during international events of this nature, there are typically official but also more intimate dinners. The question, however, is how representatives from the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations will share a meal and clink glasses together, especially in light of the aftermath of the 44-day war, while also discussing human rights issues in the same room.
Auroranews.am attempted to clarify some details with Maria Karapetyan, but she left our numerous calls unanswered. Interesting developments await ahead.
