Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident in Yerevan: Theory Suggests Victim Hit Twice
Today, on February 16, a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 06:30, 44-year-old Rubik Z., a resident of Aragatsotn Province, struck a female pedestrian while driving a Mercedes on Arshakunyats Avenue in front of the "Grand Sport" complex.
According to shamshyan.com from the scene, the driver did not flee the scene; he attempted to assist the victim and called for an ambulance. The medical team that arrived confirmed her death.
Preliminary information suggests that, according to one theory, the patrol service, investigative group, and officers from the Shengavit police station are also exploring the possibility that another vehicle hit the pedestrian, who was then thrown onto the Mercedes. This theory is supported by the discovery of broken parts from another car about 30-40 meters from the victim's body, along with the victim's bag, scarf, and a shoe that had been thrown across the road due to the impact.
Additionally, a pass belonging to a staff member of the "Grand Sport" company, identified as Karine Kalashyan, was found at the scene.
