"We Call to Prevent Manipulation Attempts": Zakharova
Moscow is concerned about the decision of several countries to relocate staff of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine. The mission is being deliberately drawn into a military psychosis incited by Washington and is being used as a tool for possible provocation.
This was stated in a comment by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, reported by TASS.
“The OSCE Chairmanship and the OSCE Secretary General have informed member states about the decision made by several countries to relocate their national employees of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine in connection with the deterioration of security conditions. The mission is being deliberately drawn into a military psychosis instigated by Washington and is being used as a tool for possible provocation,” noted the diplomat.
Zakharova also stated that Moscow calls on the OSCE leadership not to allow the organization to be drawn into dirty political games surrounding Ukraine. “We urge the OSCE leadership to decisively prevent attempts to manipulate the mission and to refrain from drawing the organization into dirty political games surrounding it. We proceed from the premise that under artificially provoked tension, the monitoring activities of the mission are more necessary than ever,” emphasized the diplomat.
She added that the monitoring activities of the OSCE in Ukraine are as necessary as ever, given the backdrop of artificially provoked tensions.
