Moscow Interested in Forming Eurasian Greater Partnership - Russian Foreign Ministry

Russia aims to transform Eurasia into a unified space of stability and development, and the creation of the Eurasian Greater Partnership would contribute to achieving this goal. This was stated by Mikhail Yevdokimov, Director of the First Department of the Commonwealth of Independent States of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with TASS.

“Russia is interested in the future of the continent as a unified space of peace, stability, development, and prosperity. Achieving this ambitious goal involves the establishment of a broad integrational contour, the Eurasian Greater Partnership, through increasing the potential of all states, regional organizations, and Eurasian unions,” he said.

According to him, the institutional foundation for the creation of the partnership is primarily intended to be the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), provided that it is open to participation from all interested states and multilateral associations in the continent.
