Pursuit of Detective Genre in Yerevan
Today, on February 10, a case related to the detective genre occurred in Yerevan. Around 2:00 AM, the criminal investigation department of the Erebuni police department received operational information indicating that drugs were being sold from a Ford Transit vehicle near 47 M. Khorenatsi Street.
The operational officers arrived at the specified address, noticed the suspicious Ford Transit, and approached the vehicle for inspection. However, the driver did not comply with the police's legal demand to 'stop' and attempted to flee. A pursuit began, and by the time they reached 6th Street in Nerkhin Shengavit, the fleeing individuals abandoned the vehicle, while the driver and a passenger ran away.
The police pursued them, during which one of the suspects threw a wallet, a weapon, and a bag from his possession, which they managed to catch. However, they were unable to apprehend the second individual. Upon examining the scene, near 21 Nerkhin Shengavit Street, a TT type pistol was discovered, containing six bullets in its magazine, along with another 13 bullets of various calibers nearby.
Two suspicious packages were also found, with one containing a crystalline substance weighing 7.88 grams. The second package had two cardboard boxes, which contained brown substances, and a folding knife was also found.
In the interior of the Ford vehicle, a black polyethylene package was discovered containing three parcels of brown substance, with a total weight of 508 grams.
Hours later, the Erebuni police identified and brought in 33-year-old Arthur H. from Yerevan. The police are taking necessary measures to establish the identity of the fleeing individual and to locate them.
