Vagho, Come Down, Vagho: Participant of the Protest
We will go until the end, until we achieve results. Our protests are still peaceful, but if this does not yield results, our protests will turn into acts of disobedience. This was stated by one of the drivers during a conversation with journalists at the protest against the rise in insurance premiums.
A female driver participating in the protest shouted, “Vagho, come down, Vagho. You will have to answer for your attitude. Vagho, the head of the bureau, has insulted us.”
Another driver remarked, “The head of the insurance bureau stated in an interview that it is unruly drivers who have come out to protest, which really angers us. I am a driver with many years of experience and have never had an accident. But there could be a situation where I hit a luxury car because of black ice. My insurance will rise by 300%. This means we are not protesting against just the 3000 dram increase, we have taken to the streets for that 300% increase.”
