Will We Transition to Remote Learning? The Health Ministry Provides Details

In Armenia, the season of acute respiratory illnesses is still ongoing, and the number of citizens infected with coronavirus is rising.

Auroranews has learned that several schools in the Republic have transitioned to remote learning in order to break the chain of infection.

In a conversation with Hripsime Khachatryan, the spokesperson for the Minister of Health, Auroranews inquired whether the Ministry of Health plans to approach the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports with a proposal to conduct classes remotely.

“At this moment, in any school or class where the illness rate has exceeded 10 percent, schools transition to remote learning through a self-management system. We also operated with this mechanism during previous waves. Currently, there are no discussions about transitioning to a general remote learning system, but we continue to work on local preventive measures,” Khachatryan stated.

At this moment, we are trying to obtain information from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports regarding how many schools have switched to remote learning.
