Traffic Accident in Yerevan: 3 Individuals Hospitalized
Today, February 6, a serious traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 00:20, vehicles driven by local residents, 39-year-old Suren Chilingaryan in a Mercedes and 23-year-old Arsen Galstyan in an Opel, collided in front of address 95/11 on Davit Bek Street.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, Opel passengers, 24-year-old Axel Avetisyan, 24-year-old Narek Avagyan, and 27-year-old Jivan Mikayelyan, sustained injuries and were transported to the Erebuni Medical Center.
Hours later, the Mercedes driver also sought treatment at the Erebuni hospital. An operational team from the Yerevan firefighting and rescue squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly arrived at the scene.
The first to aid the injured were employees of a gas station operating near the accident site, followed by the emergency responders. According to G. Shamshyan's reports, the Mercedes driver works in the penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
