Tragic Car Accident in Aragatsotn Province: Driver Dies at Scene
On February 5, a tragic car accident occurred in Aragatsotn Province. At around 11:40 AM, a ZIL-130 vehicle, traveling towards Yerevan on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, veered off the roadway at the 58 km mark. The vehicle collided with several concrete barriers installed along the road and was found overturned at the edge of a ravine.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver died at the scene. His body was found outside the vehicle.
In connection with the incident, materials are being prepared by A. Iskandaryan. A passport and a driver's license belonging to 43-year-old Edgar Vardanyan, a resident of Shirak Province, were discovered in the vehicle.
The police and investigative department are working to determine whether he was the driver.
