«Return Artsakh so we can live well»: Iranologist
Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan has shared a post on his Telegram page, expressing the opinion that the issue of preserving Armenian monuments in the occupied territories of Artsakh can only be fully resolved through their liberation.
“The open statement by the cultural minister of Baku's authoritarian regime about the process of destroying or appropriating the Armenian cultural footprint in the occupied territories of Artsakh is yet another indicator that this issue can only be entirely addressed through the liberation of those sacred regions of our land. It is naive to think that statements from international, Armenian, or Artsakh institutions or individual figures will deter the barbarians from their planned policy of erasing the Armenian cultural footprint. Each Armenian historical monument, metaphorically speaking, is a guerrilla fighting for the Armenian identity and outline of those territories, reaffirming their belonging to Armenian civilization for centuries at every moment.
A testament to this is the almost complete appropriation and destruction of the Armenian cultural footprint in Nakhichevan by Baku's barbaric regime, despite numerous statements and protests. Therefore, our dream, vision, and goal should be one: to return Artsakh so we can live well, as otherwise, everything else is merely a weak consolation against the backdrop of our ongoing cultural war, where all that is Armenian is being appropriated, defiled, and destroyed.
