NATO Plans to Build Gas Pipeline Between Spain and Germany
NATO member countries are considering the possibility of constructing a gas pipeline from Spain to France and Germany, which would 'weaken Central Europe's dependence on Russian gas.'
This has been reported by La Vanguardia, citing sources from the Spanish government, with information provided by RIA Novosti.
The publication claims that Berlin is extremely interested in the project. It is noted that there are eight regasification terminals on the Iberian Peninsula, particularly in Spain and Portugal, necessary for liquefied gas processing.
