Car Rolls into Gorge on Kuchak-Vanadzor Highway

On February 5, at 01:59, the Aragatsotn regional crisis management center received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Aparan-Spitak highway, near the fir trees. A firefighting and rescue squad from the Emergency Situations Ministry's regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that on the 17th km of the Kuchak-Vanadzor highway, a Nissan vehicle (driver: A.A., born in 1966) had veered off the road and rolled into the gorge (approximately 10 meters). Before rescuers could arrive, the driver was extricated by local forces and declined medical assistance.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's power and closed the gas valve of the car's gas cylinder. They also stabilized the vehicle and removed it from the roadway.
