Arsen Torosyan: "I Want to Clarify a Question That Causes Misunderstandings"
Dear compatriots, I want to clarify a question that causes misunderstandings. Former Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan wrote this on Facebook:
“I would not do this if I were not repeatedly told that we already have such a high vaccination coverage that it should protect us, but it does not. There have also been similar media releases with incorrect numbers. The misunderstandings stem from the attached image, from which the real picture is not very clear.
At this moment, of course, the numbers would be different, but we do not have more up-to-date statistical data. Therefore, at the time of publication, the number of all vaccinated citizens in our country is 999,891 and not 1,825,382, which represents 33.7% of our population. Of these 999,891 citizens, 819,841 have received complete vaccination, making up 27.7% of our population. Meanwhile, 180,050 (999,891 - 819,841) citizens have received one dose so far.
P.S. I will not discuss the importance of vaccinations in this post; much has been said about it and more will be said.”
