Aygevan Village Kindergarten Totally Demolished

The senior investigator of the investigation department of the Armavir police, Khoshbekyan, is preparing materials following operational information received at the Armavir regional police department yesterday, January 29. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, operational information was received at the regional police that an unused kindergarten, built during the Soviet era in the village of Aygevan, Armavir region, is being demolished, and the "construction materials" are being transferred by unknown individuals to an unknown location.

Regional police department head Karen Hakobyan and Armavir division head Gevorgyan arrived at the scene promptly. Police officers suspended the process of transporting the completely demolished kindergarten building's stones.

The police are also clarifying under whose instructions the demolished kindergarten's “construction materials” are being moved to an unknown place. According to G. Shamshyan's information, the kindergarten is being demolished by the former village mayor as a new kindergarten is set to be built in the village. However, police are also verifying who took the belongings from the kindergarten and where they are being stored.

There is a theory that the belongings may have been stolen.
