Gas Prices Rise in Moldova Amid Protests

Activists from the opposition party "Civil Congress" held a protest near the Moldovan Parliament in response to the increase in gas prices. This was reported by Ria Novosti.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation of Moldova approved the hike in gas prices for consumers. "Yesterday, the government once again announced an increase in the prices of gas, electricity, and heating. Today, we are starting a protest near the parliament, and this is just the beginning," the activists stated.

The participants of the protest emphasized that the price increases were implemented illegally and that the people would be unable to afford the new costs.
