Ukrainian Soldier Opens Fire on Colleagues, 5 Dead
A soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine opened fire on fellow servicemen on duty in Dnipro. According to reports from RIA Novosti, referencing the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, five people have died and another five have been wounded.
The incident took place in the territory of the "Yuzhmash" South Machine-Building Plant. A conscript soldier, Ryabchuk Yurevich, born in 2001, opened fire with an automatic Kalashnikov rifle for unknown reasons while handing over his weapon to National Guard personnel, and then hid with the weapon.
The National Guard has reported that among the dead are four military personnel and one civilian. Police operations are ongoing in Dnipro. The national police and National Guard units have been put on alert. The conscript soldier has been arrested.
