The 'Krik's Boy from Kond' Secretly Monitored Law Enforcement Movement in Yerevan with a Radio

On Saturday, January 22, a group of patrol officers from the 4th battalion of the Yerevan division of the Armenian police carried out an operation titled 'Krik in a Trap' under the leadership of battalion commander Armen Gasparyan. According to shamshyan.com, information was received at the patrol service that a 36-year-old resident of the central administrative district of Yerevan, Gevorg G., was keeping an unauthorized special radio communication device (a radio) in his vehicle, through which he was being informed about the movements of operational services in the capital.

The patrol officers located him on Proshyan Street and brought him to the central police station. It turned out that the operational information received at the patrol service was accurate; the 'radio' and other items were discovered in his vehicle. The car was transported to the secured area of the Yerevan division of the Armenian police patrol service.

According to Shamshyan's information, attempts were made from upper echelons to influence the patrol officers so that Gevorg G., who is known in his circle as 'Krik's Boy from Kond,' would not be taken into custody.
