At least 200 killed in Nigeria

At least 200 people have been killed in attacks by armed bandits in villages in Zamfara state, northwestern Nigeria, following military airstrikes on their hideouts earlier this week. This is reported by The Guardian.

According to a local resident who lost his wife and three children, villagers have buried 154 bodies from ten different villages. Local residents estimate that at least 200 people have died.

Babidi Hamidun, a resident of Kurfa Danya village, reported that the attackers were shooting “whoever they saw.” He mentioned that the search for more corpses continues as many people are still missing.
