A rock fragment has fallen on tourists in Brazil

A fragment of rock has broken off and fallen on tourists near Furnas Lake in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This information has been reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Associated Press.

At least 7 people have died, with some still unaccounted for. 32 individuals have been injured, 9 of whom are in serious condition and receiving treatment in a hospital.

The moment of the rockfall was captured on video and widely circulated in the media and on social networks. The head of the state's firefighting service, Edgard Estevão, indicated that approximately 20 people are currently considered missing. Divers and helicopters have been dispatched to assist with the rescue efforts.
