Fire in One of Yerevan's Apartments: Condition of One Injured Individual is Critical
On January 7, at 23:10, the Crisis Management National Center received a report of smoke visible from one of the apartments on the 5th floor of building number 47 on Khorenatsi Street in Yerevan. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
Emergency response teams from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Service and three firefighting squads, along with a fire ladder truck, were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the fire had broken out in an apartment on the 6th floor (approximately 70 square meters).
The fire was contained by January 8 at 00:38 and extinguished by 00:53. The apartment was damaged along with the window frames of one apartment on the 7th floor (approximately 18 square meters).
Rescue teams evacuated 28 residents from the building. Among them, R. S. (born in 1946) was hospitalized at the National Burn Center, where doctors assessed his condition as critical. Another individual, M. T. (born in 2019), was taken to the Muratsan Hospital Complex, where his condition is considered satisfactory.
