Car Accident in Gegharkunik Region: Injured Are a Married Couple

Today, January 7, a car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 12:15 PM, a collision took place on the rural road of the village of Tsakqar between a Kia vehicle driven by 36-year-old Garik Ghazaryan and a LuAZ vehicle driven by 56-year-old Tatul Shahinyan. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the passengers of the LuAZ vehicle, 47-year-old Arsen Hakobyan and 44-year-old Susanna Hakobyan, both residents of the Gegharkunik region, were taken to the Martuni Medical Center with injuries.

Responding promptly to the scene were officers from the second battalion of the Road Police's first squad, led by Battalion Commander Edgar Suslyan and Company Commander Vachagan Voskanyan.

The investigative work at the scene was led by Senior Investigator Nersik Grigoryan from the same battalion, who is preparing materials on the fact. According to information from the photojournalist, the injured are a married couple.
