Rescuers Recover Body of Citizen Who Fell into Pit; Identity Confirmed

On January 4, at 18:53, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call reporting that a citizen had fallen into a pit near a bridge on the road from Tichina Street to the Victory neighborhood in Yerevan. This was informed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A rescue team from the special operations unit of the Ministry's Rescue Service and a firefighting squad from Yerevan's rescue department were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers discovered the body of A.D. (born in 1959) in the canal under the bridge at the intersection of Tichina and Sherami streets and retrieved it from the water.
