Breaking News from Kazakhstan: Protesters Seize National Security Committee Building

State of emergency declared across Kazakhstan, reports Mir-24. Lukashenko has discussed the situation in Kazakhstan via phone with Putin and Tokayev, according to BelTA. Protesters have taken control of the local administration building of the National Security Committee in Kazakhstan, TASS reports. Disorder initiators continue to move forward. Protesters are storming stores and looting them; at the airport, they have vandalized the terminal and Duty Free shops. More than 100 stores and the same number of small and medium-sized businesses and/or office spaces have been breached and damaged.

One resident of Almaty told РИА Новости that unrest is occurring in the city center. Other areas are calm, and stores are operating normally.
