Parents of Children Involved in Hit-and-Run Assaulted the Driver

On January 3, at 12:25 PM, a 31-year-old driver of an Opel vehicle struck two children aged 5 and 8 at the intersection of Artashisyan and Shiraki streets. The victims were hospitalized with bodily injuries.

On the same day, at 3:50 PM, the hospital reported to the Shengavit division of the police that an ambulance crew had transported a 31-year-old man with a diagnosis of 'facial and front cranial lacerations' from the intersection of Artashisyan and Shiraki streets. He claimed that he had been assaulted by the parents of the children involved in the accident.

Officers from the Charbakh division found that the driver had been assaulted by two men aged 39 and 40. Through explanatory work, they presented themselves to the police at 5:00 PM and confessed to having hit the driver and further damaged the side mirror and window of the Opel vehicle. The extent of the damage is being determined, and an investigation is underway.
