Heavy Snow Causes Cancellation of Nearly 230 Flights in Japan

In Japan, heavy snowfall has led airlines to cancel nearly 230 domestic flights, according to reports by RT citing NHK News. "As of today, 233 flights have been canceled due to heavy snow," the report states.

In particular, flights have been canceled from the airport in Sapporo, located on Hokkaido island. The runway was closed for three hours to facilitate snow removal.
