A Range Rover Sport Crashes into a Stone Wall in Vayots Dzor, Driver Dies on the Spot

Today, January 3, a tragic car accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region, according to shamshyan.com. At around 6:00 PM, 58-year-old Samvel B., a resident of Karaglukh village, lost control of his Range Rover Sport while driving on the 18.8 km section of the Getap-Martuni highway and crashed into a stone wall of a building.

According to the news outlet, as a result of the accident, Samvel B. died on the spot. Traffic police officers from the 1st platoon of the 6th battalion of the 2nd traffic police brigade arrived at the scene, led by platoon commander Gegham Margaryan and squad commander Karen Ohanyan. An operational group from the Yeghknadzor division of the police also arrived, headed by division chief Hrazdan Kostanyan.

Information about the accident was relayed to the Vayots Dzor regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia by Tigran Barsaghyan, the on-duty officer at the traffic police's 1-77 operational management center. An investigative group, headed by senior investigator Danielyan, subsequently arrived at the scene. Investigative materials are being prepared regarding the incident.

By the investigator's directive, the vehicle has been transferred to the specially protected area of the Yeghknadzor division of the police.
