The Meeting Between Prime Minister Pashinyan and Charles Michel Has Begun
The meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and European Council President Charles Michel has started in Brussels. Pashinyan shared a video of the meeting's beginning on his Facebook page.
After a private conversation with the European Council president, a trilateral meeting is scheduled to take place involving Pashinyan, Charles Michel, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Nikol Pashinyan is set to participate in the sixth Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels on December 15. Within the framework of the event, bilateral meetings with European partners are planned for the Armenian Prime Minister.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and European Council President Charles Michel discussed the issues of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan during their meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, according to a statement from the Azerbaijani president's office.
“The meeting highlighted the EU's support for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. During the discussions, issues regarding the delimitation and demarcation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border were addressed, and there was an exchange of ideas on the opening of communications and humanitarian issues,” the statement noted.
A trilateral meeting involving Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Council President Charles Michel, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is scheduled for Tuesday.
