Head of Ararat Electricity Network Stabs Electrician
On December 9, a stabbing incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 1:00 PM, the Ararat police department received a call from the Vedi medical center reporting that a citizen had been transferred to their facility with two stab wounds to the back of the chest, diagnosed with second-degree hemopneumothorax and hemorrhagic shock.
According to shamshyan.com, the head of the Ararat regional police Saribek Rustamyan and the head of the Ararat police department Artur Hakobyan arrived at the hospital. The injured individual was identified as Tigran N., a 59-year-old resident of the Ararat region.
While doctors fought for his life, the police conducted necessary operational-search measures which revealed that on the same day, around 12:30 PM, a dispute had occurred between Tigran N. and 33-year-old Boris H. on the third floor of the Ararat Electricity Network building, a branch of the Electric Networks of Armenia in Araks. During the altercation, Boris H. stabbed Tigran N. with a knife he had on him.
The Ararat police department’s investigative division is preparing materials regarding the incident. Subsequently, officers engaged in explanatory efforts resulted in Boris H. voluntarily presenting himself at the police station. He also surrendered the knife, which served as the weapon used in the crime.
According to reports, Boris H. works as the head of a unit at the Ararat Electricity Network, while the injured Tigran N. is employed there as an electrician.
