Details Surrounding the Discovery of 26-Year-Old in Sotk Water Pit

On December 10, a tragic incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. At approximately 16:10, the crisis management center of the Emergency Situations Ministry received a report indicating that a body had been found in a pit in the administrative area of the village of Sotk. According to shamshyan.com, rescuers, police officers, and investigators discovered the body of 26-year-old Arman A., a resident of the same village, in a water-filled pit measuring 4 meters in diameter and 5 meters deep, where he was found drowned.

The news site reported that the drowned young man had been with a 60-year-old fellow villager, Abul A., engaged in animal husbandry in the area. Abul A. informed the arriving law enforcement officials that he and Arman A. had been grazing animals at a certain distance from each other. After some time, he noticed that Arman was missing, approached the water pit, and saw that the ice had broken, with Arman's backpack lying in the water.

According to the preliminary conclusions of the arriving forensic doctor, no signs of violence were detected on the body during the external examination. Materials are being prepared in the Vardenis Investigative Department regarding the incident. Following the investigator's decision, a forensic examination of the body has been scheduled.
