Major Road Accident-Fire in Vayots Dzor Marz: Details

Today, December 9, a major road accident-fire occurred in Vayots Dzor Marz. Around 12:40, on the 107.5 km section of the Yerevan-Yeraskh-Meghri highway, a collision took place under yet unknown circumstances between Howo (trailer) and KamAZ (tanker) freight vehicles.

According to reports from the scene, the tanker rolled over and fell onto a VAZ 2106 vehicle, while a fire broke out in the Howo vehicle. As a result of the accident-fire, two individuals with bodily injuries were transported to the 'Yeghenadzor' medical center. The police are identifying the drivers and the injured parties.

Traffic in the mentioned area has partially turned into one-way as special equipment is required to remove the overturned vehicle from the scene.
