Injured serviceman undergoes surgery; will be transferred to Yerevan shortly

A conscript serviceman, Senik Sahakyan, who was injured by a gunshot fired by a fellow serviceman around midnight, has undergone surgery at the Kapan Medical Center. According to NEWS.am sources, the injured serviceman will be transferred to Yerevan by helicopter shortly.

We have learned that the serviceman's condition is serious. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that on December 8 at approximately 23:50, the conscript serviceman, Private Senik Arthur Sahakyan (born in 2003), was injured by gunfire from a fellow serviceman in the southeastern direction of the Republic of Armenia's N military unit. An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
