Commander of Patriotic NGO Squad Accused of Embezzling Salaries of 11 Members
The Investigative Department of the Artsakh Republic's State Committee has initiated proceedings regarding a case involving the commander of a patriotic public organization squad. On November 2, 2021, he allegedly misled 11 members of his squad by promising to pay each a salary of 200,000 AMD, while intending to embezzle a total of 2,200,000 AMD that was supposed to be disbursed to them.
The criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 345 of the Artsakh Republic's Criminal Code, based on the allegations of fraud and appropriation of funds for personal gain. The investigation is ongoing.
