An Individual Without Parliamentary Status Cannot Be Detained: Constitutional Court Releases Decision

The Constitutional Court has just published its decision based on our appeal regarding the immunity of parliamentarians, wrote Aram Vardevanyan, a member of the "Armenia" alliance, on his Facebook page.

"The Constitutional Court literally stated that an individual who does not hold the status of a parliamentarian cannot be kept in detention from the moment they gain parliamentary status. Our colleagues were unlawfully held in detention for months in disgrace, and now they must be released immediately. This time, the high court ensured constitutional justice," Vardevanyan wrote.
