Alen Simonyan Sues Opposition MP

The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, announced today in parliament that he has filed a lawsuit against Arjew Manoukian, an MP from the "Armenia" faction.

“I have filed a lawsuit in connection with lying. Ms. Manoukian has read four sentences in the last three months, placing the words in different parts of her text: asphalt, Greece, a betting office, and I don't remember the other one. One day I will tell you the stories about your leader’s Greek islands. I simply do not want to enter the personal sphere, but interesting stories were being told. I will not stoop to that level,” said Simonyan.

According to him, Manoukian will have to answer in court. Simonyan assured that the court will oblige her to apologize.
