The best and most effective measure for preventing seasonal flu is vaccination, which has been available and used for decades. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the emphasis on preventing acute respiratory infections, including seasonal flu, has increased in order to reduce the risks of simultaneous infections.
The source reminds that all polyclinics in the republic are supplied with seasonal flu vaccines, and all individuals in high-risk groups who have not yet received the seasonal flu vaccine can approach their registered polyclinic and get vaccinated. Vaccinations are conducted on a voluntary basis and are free of charge within the state order, prioritizing high-risk groups such as pregnant women, children aged 6 months to 5 years, individuals over 65, those with chronic diseases of the respiratory system, cardiovascular system, liver, and kidneys, as well as healthcare workers, military personnel, individuals in closed institutions, and service staff. The vaccine is also available for other population groups.
