Mysterious Incident in Yerevan: Body of 20-Year-Old Found Under Davtashen Bridge with One Hand Severed

On December 4, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 12:50 PM, officers from the Main Division of the Police Protection Service of Armenia discovered a man's body under the Davtashen Bridge during their patrol. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the information was relayed to the Arabkir police department, where an operational group led by the department head, Nikoyan, responded to the scene.

A group from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan investigative division also arrived at the site, led by the head of the division and a senior investigator. The police and investigators have identified the deceased as 20-year-old A. Kachak, a resident of Yerevan.

Materials are being prepared in connection with the incident at the investigative division. A forensic medical examination of the body has been ordered by the investigator. The police and investigative division are trying to determine whether this was a suicide or a homicide, as one of the body's hands was severed, and according to eyewitnesses, it may have been mangled by dogs.
