Tragic Car Accident in Lori Province

On December 3, a tragic car accident occurred in Lori Province. Around 22:40, a 38-year-old resident of Tavush Province, Karen Gaboyan, lost control of his Mercedes vehicle under still unknown circumstances on the 75 km section of the Vanadzor-Georgia state highway. The car collided with the concrete barriers on the roadside and fell upside down from several meters high.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, Karen Gaboyan died at the scene of the accident. Rescuers extricated the body from under the vehicle. The car was lifted to a safe location using a crane and taken to the protected area of the Tumanyan police department.
