Mercedes Plunges into Gorge on Alaverdi-Ayrum Road, Driver Dies on the Spot

On December 3 at 22:49, the Lori regional crisis management center received information about a traffic accident on the Shnagh-Karkof road, indicating that there were victims.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was discovered that a Mercedes vehicle (driver: K.G., born in 1983) had exited the driving lane near the 22nd kilometer of the Alaverdi-Ayrum road, overturned, and ended up in a nearby gorge (approximately 4 meters deep). The driver died on the spot.

The rescuers de-energized the vehicle, closed the valve of the gas cylinder, and removed the driver’s body from the vehicle, bringing it closer to the ambulance.
