Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin to be recalled to Russia soon

According to reports from the newspaper "Hraparak," Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin is set to be recalled from Armenia soon. He has served as the ambassador in Armenia since April 2018, and his recall seems to be in line with the provisions of the "Diplomatic Service Law," which states that the contracts for diplomats are signed for a period of three years, and Kopirkin's three-year term has already expired.

However, if the state is satisfied with its representative, this contract is generally extended. Russian ambassadors typically continue to work in host countries unless there are significant issues. In this case, there appear to be discontent, and the departure of the current ambassador is likely linked to these concerns.
