Azerbaijan is the Second Largest Buyer of Weapons from Turkey
According to data from January to November 2021, Azerbaijan is the second country that has purchased the most Turkish weapons, reports the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
According to the Turkish Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Exporters Assembly, exports of defense and aviation products from Turkey increased by 39.7% to $2 billion 739.974 million in the January-November period compared to the same time last year.
The primary buyer during this period was the United States, with purchases amounting to $1 billion 32.615 million (a 50.2% increase), the agency notes.
Azerbaijan ranks second, having bought military products worth $192.126 million from Turkey during January-November, which is a 24.8% decrease compared to the previous year.
Following Azerbaijan are Qatar with $180.544 million, the United Arab Emirates with $161.373 million, and Germany with $142.816 million.
