We Will Be Able to Make Specific Decisions on Roads in the Near Future: Putin

During the trilateral meeting in Sochi between Presidents Putin, Pashinyan, and Aliyev, the Russian President expressed gratitude to the parties for responding to his proposal and coming to Russia to summarize the work done over the last year.

“During this time, quite a bit has been done; unfortunately, some issues remain unresolved, and incidents have occurred at the border, leading to tragic events. People from both sides have died and been injured; these are matters that deserve our attention. Essentially, that is why we have gathered today, to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Nevertheless, quite a bit has been achieved over the past year, the first being that no large-scale military operations have taken place during this time; that is a positive aspect,” said Putin, adding that significant work has also been done on the return of refugees, with around 50,000 having already returned.

Putin also expressed hope that in the near future, specific decisions could be made regarding the unblocking of roads. “Considering the special relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan, we have been part of one common state for 100 years; we wouldn’t want those to be disrupted; on the contrary, we want to restore and maintain them,” stated Putin.
